How waterfalls appeared in steppes
The waterfalls appeared in the 1970s and picturesquely feature the ruins of the old castle. The location turned out to be surprisingly natural, but cloaked in secrets and legends.
Their origin can be explained quite simply - these are the waters of the Kakhovka reservoir, which channeled new waterways by eroding soft limestone. The waterfalls are unique natural wonders because they are located outside of the mountain system!
You can easily find them - they are located below the ruins of Trubetskyi Castle on steep stone slopes. The sound of falling water can be heard from afar.
