Paragliding in Kherson

Paragliding is a type of active vacation implying flight and piloting a paraglide. A paraglide flight is performed with the special wing made of light fabric which is attached to the seat with ropes. It is totally safe when following the elementary safety precautions.

A paraglide moves exposed to wind currents and gravity force. First of all, paragliding is an opportunity to feel as if you were a flying bird, to get some extreme share, and unite yourself with the element of wind.

Flights are conducted over Kherson Mountains not far from the settlement of Stanislav on the coast of the Dnipro-Bug estuary. Bird’s eye panorama of the landscape is utterly fabulous!

How is a glide flight conducted

A transfer from Kherson is arranged to the location. You also can go by a scheduled bus that goes from the central auto station of Kherson or by your own car. The distance from Kherson is only 45km.

A short safety induction is carried out on the spot. Before the flight instructors explain the way to properly use equipment and render necessary safety guidelines.

To fly a paraglide you don`t need any special equipment. It`s enough to wear a comfortable outfit according to the weather. Among desirable accessories there is a wind jacket, sunglasses and a head gear.

Before the start instructors thoroughly study the weather conditions. If the weather permits, the guest accompanied by a pilot gathers speed, catches air current, and abruptly rises over ground. In the process of the flight you control a paraglide spreading the wind currents all over the surface of a parafoil. Landing is performed at the same spot where the flight starts.

The service is available from spring to the middle of fall. The flight lasts 15 minutes.

The flight is performed by the wing Skywalk Joint 3, the loading is within 150 and 220 kg. The technical condition of the wing is regularly checked.

The flight process depends on the wind power. It has to be strong enough so that air currents can keep you afloat but not very strong so that the process can be controlled by a pilot and safe to a guest.

The total load of a pilot and a tourist has to be no more than 200 kg and the age of a child has to be over 12 years.

The cost of the flight

The cost of the flight is 700 UAH per a person. It covers:

• 15-minute paraglide flight over the picturesque lagoon and Kherson mountains;
• support of an experienced instructor with whom you`ll feel confident and safe;
• safety induction from the pilot that will explain the way to act in a correct and confident way while the flight;
• rent of all necessary equipment;
• photos and videos.

Optionally you can order the transfer from Kherson and back (100 UAH per a person) and an insurance certificate (60 UAH).
