The exhibition pavilion was established in 1906 thanks to the famous biologist Ivan Pachosky. During the German occupation, the building survived, but many valuables were taken to Germany and remain there today. Nowadays, it’s a division of Kherson Museum of Local Lore.
Exhibitions
Unique specimen of reptiles, fish, insects, molluscs, and birds have been preserved and can be found here. You can also explore the inhabitants of underwater world and rare mammals.
The highlight of the exhibition is a skeleton of 30-meter-long fin whale. It is the second-longest mammal in the world after a blue whale. It was gifted by graduates of Kherson Maritime School. The whale was caught near the coast of Antarctica in the mid-20th century. The skeleton occupies almost the entire 2nd floor of the museum hall.

- seeds and herbarium;
- geological research.

Located at 5 Teatralna Str. You have to take minibus No. 48, 35 or 9 and get out at "Filip Orlik Str." bus stop.
