Are you going to sea resorts, Askania Nova, Oleshky Sands or the Kinburn Spit? You will definitely cross the Antonovka bridge. It connects the regional center and the left-bank side of the Dnipro. It is one of the few constructions classified as "the longest bridge in Ukraine”.
History of creation
The construction lasted eight years. The bridge was opened in 1985. The plan was to launch a trolleybus line from Kherson to Oleshky but the idea was not implemented.
Technical characteristics: length - 1366 m, width - 25 m, supported by 31 concrete pillars. 10,000 vehicles cross it per day. It is also the highest bridge in Ukraine, along with the Yuzhnyi and Moskovskyi ones in Kyiv.
Tourists and guests of the city like to walk along pedestrian paths on the bridge. You can take pictures here of the most beautiful panorama of the regional center and the Dnipro river.
